WORKFLOW AND DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

PMSL has automated operations and business processes in a variety of organisations including the following top-tier banks.

Access Bank Plc joined GTBank as the second bank in Nigeria that is automated. Six business processes are presently being automated while ten more are to be automated in the next few months. With this, customers dont have to wait for months to get their facility (loan) approved. Facilities within the approval limits of the management of the bank can be approved the same day.

Also GTBank being the only Nigerian bank with ISO certification due to automation recently increased their licenses for Optix.

TAPECOPY AND TRANSCRIPTION

PMSL had transcribed over 32,000 tapes as input from various media like 9-Track, 21-Track, 3480, 3490, 3490E, 8MM and 3590 to an output of 3,225 tapes of higher media capacity like 8MM, 3590, 3590E & DLT from the inception of the company. The followings highlight the clients transcription done.

Chevron had transcribed over 1,000 tapes of various media, producing 562 output media from CD, VCD, 8MM, 3590 and DLT tapes.

Nigerian Agip Exploration had transcribed over 19,500 tapes of various media, producing 1208 output media ranging from VCD, 3590, 3590E and DLT tapes.

Nigerian Agip Oil Company had transcribed over 2,678 tapes of various media, producing 657 output media ranging from CD, VCD, 8MM, 3590 and 3590E tapes.

SNEPCO had transcribed over 1752 media with 1320 (9-track) Rodeo encapsulated, producing 120 output media ranging from CD, VCD, 8MM and 3590 tapes.

INTEGRITY MONITORING CHECKS

The total number of Integrity Check done in PMSL storage on clients tapes amounts to 80,650 tapes, major clients done from 2000 till date are as follows:

Mobil performed integrity monitor on 6550 (3590) tapes, some were recommended to be recopied due to parity error listed during integrity check.

SNEPCO had 140 (3480 & 3590) tapes, which were checked for data integrity and for media decay

Pan Ocean had 6978 (9-track, 3480, 3490, 8MM & 3590) tapes, which were checked for data integrity and media decay, and they were recommendation to recopy most of their tapes for loss of data.

SPDC had 67,000 (3480 &3490) tapes, that were checked for data corruption /integrity and media decay. During the exercises some tapes disintegrated which lead to oxide break. Give room for recopy of the exact tape from its original
