Diplomat Demux is an easy to use and fast program for demultiplexing seismic field data into trace sequential order. All known versions of SEGA, SEGB, SEGC, SEGD and non-SEG standard (multiplexed) formats can be converted to SEGY or SEGD (demultiplexed) formats, 21-track multiplexed tape formats can also be handled. Any SCSI interface device may be used for input or output of data. Diplomat Demux can be run in batch mode or interactively for maximum recovery of data held on decaying and stiction-affected 9-track media. Reports are produced on files transcribed including any data errors encountered. Diplomat Demux allows onscreen display of selection records and /or traces (e.g. a near trace plot) for online quality control of the data. These plots mat be saved as TIFF files for subsequent viewing or producing hard copy plots. Diplomat Demux extracts index information from the tape header and an index file is created which can be transferred to and used to updata databases.
Our software has ability to read SEGY and standard Navigation format into an editing suite that enables the merging of 2D datasets & Navigation data into an output of 8 and 16 bit workstation SEGY ready format. This software can interface any standard SCSI devices via an Adaptec controller including; 9-Track, 3480, 3490, 3490E, Exabyte 8200, 8500, 8505, 8700, DLT, DAT, DVD, VCD, CD etc. This software has been specified designed to assist the user in carrying out quality assurance and quality control of data. The user may plot scatter diagrams of navigation data, merge post-stack and / or analyze the dynamic resolution of the samples. Output of the data may be a selection of data, merge of positioning and seismic information and / or clipping of data to 16 or 8 bit sample values. Plotting to a TIFF graphics file, displayed on-screen or output to a printing or plotting device. The plot module can be called more than once in a parameter file and consequently multiple plots can be generated within one job for true quality control of the data passing through the system. The plot files are output to TIFF format and archived with the data. Data can be displayed as a whole line(s) or selected parts of lines, cross lines or time slices. Various views of the data may be requested during the read phase. Visual display of any discontinuity in a logical sequence may be displayed from the indexes within the spreadsheets. This is especially useful when analyzing information such as CDP range, Shot Point Sequence, Positioning etc. |
