World Class Data Centre
Our data centre is a world class facility and is the first of its kind in Nigeria & West Africa, providing data storage, management services, document and data management services to the petroleum at first and the financial industries and institutions afterwards.
The facility is designed to accommodate data tapes (cartridges) & reels like 3480, 3490, 3590B, 3590E, DLT, LTO, 8mm, 9-Track, 21-Track, diskette, Zip, CD( DVD & VCD) etc together with associated or supporting paper documents. These documents ranges from observers log, base map, seismic films, micro films, field reports, field records etc.
Location and Fire Suppressant
Petrodata storage facility is currently located at Motorways Plaza, in Alausa Ikeja, about 35 minutes drive from Lagos Island and about 40minutes drive from to local and international Airport.
The facilities comprises of two storage areas with total Cartridge capacity in excess of 750,000 cartridges and is protected by state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression gadgets and a zone sensitive system, using FM200 approved internationally as a very effective extinguish ant.
Security and Power Grid Continuous power supply is assured by two levels of back-up generators i.e. one provided by the building facilities and the other by Petrodata own twin generators (100KVA capacity each) operating in master/slave mode. A 12000 liters fuel capacity storage tank to compliment the uninterrupted power supply to our facility.
There is telephone contact with the Lagos State fire brigade located just 5 minutes drive away from the facility. Also the location of the facility is about 5 minutes from the state controlled Anti Robbery Squad, State Governors secretariat and office and Head office of State Security Services (SSS). The facility is manned 24hrs/day by a firm of private security organization and complimented with high facility security system. Two co-tenants are into banking services and providing additional security coverage and surveillance. The security men are provided with telephone link, directly to their head office for back-up support and the State Anti-Robbery Squad. In addition there are telephone list and link with key members of security staff, State Fire Services, Headquarter of the private security operatives and three Petrodata key Managements staff in case of emergency.
All external doors are alarmed against intruders and connected to the main anti-burglary alarm system. Access to the building during the normal working hours is via a video door phone with two-way intercom facility connected to the main reception desk. The main entrance door lock is reinforced with wide magnetic contacts, which is released by a push button control. Forced entry is prevented by another anti-shatter door immediately after the main entrance door. This door is installed with a swipe card access control lock.
Outside the normal working hours the front and back doors are armed and wired to a high pitch alarm bell located outside the facility. Petrodata Management Services maintains the highest standards for safety and security. These include
